I recently enjoyed a delightful stay at Krone during my self-guided cycle tour of the picturesque Moselle region. Upon arrival, we encountered a slight language barrier at reception, but that did little to dampen our spirits, thanks to the warm ambiance of the hotel. Our spacious room, complete with a private balcony showcasing stunning river views, allowed us to unwind after our bike rides. Though the bathroom was snug, it did not detract from our comfort overall. Now let's talk about the meals! We opted for the half-board option, and I must say, the four-course dinner was a culinary journey. Each course showcased local flavors with a creative twist, and I savored every bite. Breakfast wasn't to be overlooked either; the fresh bread stood out as a highlight-warm, crusty, and paired perfectly with various cheeses and juices, it set a lovely tone for our days. Tucked away in a calm village surrounded by vineyards, this hotel is a gem ideal for food enthusiasts and travelers alike. While some decor elements felt dated, the experience and the culinary offerings truly spoke volumes. A great base for exploring the beautiful Moselle!
